The cannabis industry is still just a baby. Every day there are new products and innovations as the industry grows. Not all of them are successful, but there are more products than ever to satisfy just about everyone.
NOT A SMOKER??
More and more we see consumers that don’t smoke. A lot of these customers used to smoke ‘back in the day’ but now are looking for other options. The Oil/Capsule market satisfies this need quite well, but edibles have really started to become the favorite. There are so many flavor options in gummies and chocolates these days that it is almost hard to decide which ones to keep in store. Lately though, we are seeing an increase other options. Coffee pods have emerged lately and new this coming week there will be a new coffee option as well as some Hot chocolate powder and ice tea mix. We even have some CBD infused honey that you can add to these beverages. Hot sauce is another fun way to consume. A batch of wings coated in cannabis hot sauce sounds like a great way to have some fun. If you are vegetarian, mixing that hot sauce into a salad dressing would also be delicious. One of my favorites right now is the Fruity Hoops by Vacay… these take me way back to way back to being a kid and finding that book of lifesavers in my stocking. There is even Gum now if you need a fast acting CBD option, Atlas CBD Gum is the ticket.
HOW ABOUT A NICE BATH?
Bath bombs and salts have been around for about a year now but these aren’t your only options for topical use. The topical category has expanded quite rapidly in the last few months. From Toothpaste to face scrub to soap bars, there is no lack of things to try. I am going to try one of these new soap bars from Freshdayly this week and see what it is like, I hope it is as nice as the face wash I have now. The feedback from customers on most of these topicals has been fantastic. We have one customer who says the Proofly Hand and Foot Cream is the best one they have ever tried for nice soft skin. Another regular swears by the Unplug 3:1 Cream by Solei for all those aches and pains. There has even been really great feedback on the new Prairie Grass suppositories….I hear suppository Saturdays are a great way to relax ;) (Bet you didn’t know that you could even buy these?)
HAVE YOU SMOKED ANYTHING NEW LATELY?
The number one question i get in a day for the smokers is ‘what’s new?’. For a long time the basic strains ruled the industry. You could find Blue Dream, Pink Kush and Sensi Star on the shelves of every dispensary without even trying. The first legal weed I bought was definitely Blue Dream. These strains are still around, but it doesn’t seem to be what the consumers want these days. We make every effort to stay on top of the ‘What’s New’ category. We are always on the hunt for something fun. Here at Moderna we have been really enjoying all the new strains lately….things like Peanut Butter Mac, Dragon Fruit Mintz, Animal Face , and Star Struck are just a few catching some attention right now. The terpene profiles on these new products just get better and better all the time. If you are going to roll a joint or smoke a bowl, why not make it something really fantastic. Life is much too short to smoke bad weed.
